A grandmotherly like woman sitting next to me, watching the midnight sky...quipped...so...you are going to SALUTE THE TRI COLOUR.
I watched her gazed face....Hmm...I replied....silence....I queered...what does moments of Independence meant for you....she took a long breath....looked into my eyes and said...."I don`t have any children,so I will not have any grandchildren".
What a precious display of Independence.
An elderly woman...touching my shoulder from behind...whispered....I was born on August 15,1947.
Vow....I saluted her instantly....she politely replied....instead of yours world...I was feeling more independent in my mother`s womb....I was shocked.
A woman...well crossed her teens...burst into laughter....said,ok....you know....that the independence is meant for men...not for women. Your society needs....mother....sister...daughter....wife....but not woman....because women needs to stand with men....they want to share side by side...and that independece ...is yet to come.
A...big silence.....insecurity in mind....then how could half of the population hold THE TRI COLOUR.
It touched my heart.
Fireworks started....sky was covered with colourful lights....crackers bursted....slogans were recited....hearing the noise....A girl child....rubbing her eyes....squeezed my hand....what`s going on....she asked.....Don`t you know....it is The Independence Day Celeberation.
Oh...Yes...she waved her hands to fading lights...and shouted....Bye....Bye....The Independence Day....
Why don`t you come every day.....
Child`s moments of Independence.
Let`s Salute THE TRI COLOUR.
